New MY26 BOX enhancements add to appeal of already impressive EV
Recognised as the one of the country’s most attainably priced fully electric vehicles, the Dongfeng BOX will soon be available with enhanced Model Year 2026 specification and will feature a launch offer.
The $29,990+ORC launch offer starts today and is available until the end of May, after which time the price reverts to $32,990+ORC.
The MY26 BOX offers segment-leading 317km WLTP EV range and impressive features including 12-inch touchscreen, heated and ventilated front seats, power driver’s seat, wireless phone charging, 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control and automatic parking.
A key addition is the extra complement of airbags, taking the total count to six, consisting of front driver and passenger, two front side and two head front-rear curtain.

“Furthermore, as part of the new MY26 upgrades, we have been able to negotiate extra stock and also accelerate supply from Dongfeng. This means there will be a greater number of new BOX available even sooner for Kiwi motorists.

Key elements of the BOX’s design include frameless doors, a ‘floating’ two-tone roof, hidden door handles, LED headlamps and soft-touch materials throughout the cabin. All the features contribute to a bold look which reflects style and individuality, which can be further expressed through a choice of six different exterior styles and three interior trims.

The BOX, together with the VIGO SUV and 007 Fastback Coupe, are available at Armstrong’s Dongfeng dealerships in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch as well as Takanini Auto Group, Auckland Auto Group (Albany), Waikato Auto Group (Hamilton) and Tauranga Motor Group.
The entire Dongfeng EV model range provides the opportunity to experience EV performance at various levels. The VIGO launch offer from $37,990+ORC continues until the end of April while 007 price remains $54,990+ORC for Long Range RWD and $59,990 for Performance AWD.
